Driving home today and A/C suddenly stopped blowing cold and A/C button in the Climate screen started flashing. Fine one second and then bad the next. I tried one of those recharge things and it went into the red zone when i pressure checked it which means contact a technician and dont add freon. Compressor is only about 16 months old. Anyone have any ideas where to check first? I heard it's possible to test the relay by switching it with another relay but I'm not sure where to find the a/c relay or which one I could swap it with. Thanks for any suggestions!

I'm having a similar problem with my 2010 but the compressor disengages at idle. I switched the MG CLT relay in the driver-side fuse box with the CDS FAN relay. Those were the only 2 that looked the same to me. I know my issue is probably related to heat, low refrigerant, bad compressor or a blockage but I'm having trouble finding which is which.

Don’t use those self service cans, they put way too much oil into the system. Too much oil will cause problems with the evaporator and other components. It is really hard to get the excess oil out even with a full evacuation.

Go to a shop or get the tools to do it right.
