In response to a couple of emails …. This is our itinerary for the event.
———————————————————————————
Thursday (9/19) …. The event kicks off with “social hour” around 5:00 pm followed by dinner at our cabins.
Friday (9/20) …. We meet at the main Windrock parking lot between 8:30am & 9:00am to divide the group up for that days trail riding. Dinner that evening around 6:30pm.
Saturday (9/21) …. We depart the main parking lot again around 9:00am for more adventures. Dinner at 6:30pm. The event concludes Saturday night to allow folks the opportunity to travel home on Sunday.
** However, if your schedule allows, you’re free to enjoy Windrock on Sunday. 😊

Something new this year …..
Due to the generosity of our sponsors / donors this year we plan to host a raffle, Saturday evening. (A first for us). 😊
The majority of the items are not “70 Series specific” and should appeal to everyone.
We’ve reached out to this guy to conduct the raffle. 😁

There is a time and a place for “Gremlins” however at our event is not one of them. 😁
While the occasional mechanical issue is unavoidable, please do your due-diligence to make sure your Land Cruiser is up to the task. Items such as seat belts, a secure battery and a properly functioning
4 wheel drive system can make your weekend go smoothly. 😊

I'm in a mad dash to complete my mechanical to do list before the long road trip. I have two more priority one line items left and a couple nice to do priority two items if I can squeeze them in. Only had this truck since March. They don't send the well kept ones from Japan to the US. We only get the neglected ones. Mine has come to live a pleasant, well cared for life in my shop where she is receiving only the best.

Although I truly hope we don’t need their product during our event it’s great to have “MyMedic” come aboard as a sponsor / donor.

ATTN: LJ & KZ OWNERS.
We need you guys to come and claim your rightful spot on the trails. If not, the “heavy duty” guys will have carte blanche to make fun of you around the camp fire. 😊

Looking forward to the event!

Just a reminder as registration is currently open, I have had a few of our Club members ask, you DO NOT have to own a 70 Series to attend!

In fact I used a few years of this event to check out various 70 Series to get an idea of which 7? series met my needs best!

It is kinda crazy, they used every numeral in the Seventies through the years and I needed to see them in the metal and this event features more 70 series in action than anywhere! It is a great time of year to be on the trail in any Land Cruiser!

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

BANG FOR YOUR BUCK ….. what you’re getting with your registration fee. 😊
1) You’re supporting a great charity.
2) You’re spending a few days with a bunch of Cruiserheads.
3) Three evening meals provided by our host.
4) A Saturday evening raffle.
5) An opportunity to see a variety of 70 Series Land Cruisers.
…… HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE ……

Who doesn’t like event t-shirts?
** The ALS Association will receive a portion of the proceeds. 😊

My goal, back in the winter, when I first started working on this event, was to hopefully attract a couple of sponsors, to offset some of our expenses thus allowing for a larger contribution to the ALS Association. You can tell from this list, that I grossly underestimated the generosity of the Land Cruiser community. The list, which seems to expand on a daily basis, is testament to people that are willing to support a good cause (one that just happens to involve cool Land Cruisers). If you as a company or as an individual, would like to join this list, just give me a shout.
Hope to see you in September.

Just a reminder ……
This is a “family friendly” event and we encourage you to bring the whole gang.
We also welcome well-behaved pets (you don’t need to leave Rover at home). 😁

As you can see, at this event we respect our elders. 😁

Prior to our affiliation with the ALS Association, our goal was simply to come close to breaking even on the cost to put on this event, but now, in addition to having a great time, we’re focused on raising money for the charity. To be clear, we didn’t choose the ALS Association at random. This disease has affected one of our own, so it’s now all hands on deck.
One of the tools we’ve never used is a fund-raising raffle. That will change this year. The following is a (partial) list of our donors * (and what they have donated) for a raffle.
*The list is expanding almost daily.

Command Central ……. 😁
For those of you that are not familiar with Windrock, here is a quicky guide.
As you enter the park, and see an oil stained driveway, that’s the Land Rover guys so keep going.
If next, you see what resembles a rising sun from the glow of “check engine lights”, that’s the Jeep guys so keep going.
If you see the new Windrock General Store, you’ve gone a tad too far. 😁

Why you should order an event t-shirt…..
1) They look cool.
2) One cannot have too many Toyota themed t-shirts.
3) The event (thus the ALS Association) gets a percentage of the proceeds.
4) By wearing the shirt, you won’t be mistaken for the “angry eye guys” while in the Windrock parking lot.
