No.

I personally feel it is worth it provided the rest of the truck is 100% or close and you plan to keep it for 10 years and can afford the gas. In my opinion the 80 is the best truck toyota ever provided to North America. Finding a low mileage one in good condition is worth it.

edit, i say keep for 10 years because if you sell after a year you'll probably be out 10 grand.

Tempting. A little high, if it has lockers, no aftermarket attachments and is virgin I'd go $15

I paid 3 for my stock locked bruiser but I'm in VA so they all have rust. I think that price is a bit high unless your a sort of collector minded person.

even in ca where the prices for locked ones are threw the roof, that's high. Then again everything I sell is platinum ,Or so I thought.I would take your time and look around at that price it isn't going anywhere soon.

Too much in my opinion. I agree w carboncorsa. Get a 100 with v8 power for those duckets.

If Its Like MEW, which Is a low % chance Than yes. Its a truck that sold for near 48,000. Land Cruisers 15 years older are selling restored like new for near 60,000. there's the long term value. Also If that truck is as new, 15 years from now in close to same condition pure stock would sell for much more than a restored L/C at a Big Auction because collectors want the original pure stock vehicles. We are seeing these high prices for low mile 80s because there reaching that hard to find category, I heard of 3 80s rolling off trails In Co. In July, and several In rollover accidents. There thinning quickly. You need to see, and be anal buying a truck like this. Good Luck. !

This most likely needs baselined. From the photos the L/X look reasonably clean and for an additional 3 k you do a full knuckle rebuild all seals and OEM bearings, drilled and slotted rotors, U-joints, steering damper, main seal, oil pump gasket, dizzy o ring.Rad. hoses, alt belts air belt, tube seals,PCV grommet, wires, dist cap rotor, springs and shocks. There Is always more thats why I said 3. I think the L/X Is close to where It will sell so for about 10 K you would have a nice truck. 2200. for ARB front and rear Air lockers and you would have a rig everyone wanted. As long as you can wrench..! Allbeit not quite the collectable your looking at. Good Luck. !

If all baselining and general maintenance has been done, maybe something to think about. As low of miles as that is and as long as these rigs run stuff still breaks, and if not broken still needs updating. If it needs any maintenance you could be looking at another $4k, unless you do all work yourself. Even if that's the case you're approaching 20k. To me not worth it. Because these run so long, if you're talking strictly miles, there's not a lot of difference between 100k and 150k IMO.

The rest of us aren't lining up to buy it, so ask the fella his price in a few months.

Good price for a seller.

Probably forced by spouse to sell it so he is trying to sabotage the deal from the get go and or hedging his beat so he can afford to buy 3 replacements with the profits.

If it is beyond immaculate with perfect paint and interior, has a clean car fax, has always lived in the southwest and has zero rust, one owner who maintained it with Swiss precision, has had all PM done with OE parts and has a stack of perfectly organized record and receipts (hopefully in a binder).
Then perhaps.

^ What he said. If it's all that, and the right color (for you), and you have the money and it's worth it to get the vehicle now vs. spending months looking for the right rig, then go for it.

In Northern CA, I don't see low miles rigs (locked or unlocked) very often and when they do, they seem to be priced in the low to mid teens.
