Ok, so I pulled off the system amp (under the driver's side, near right knee).

There are some blue rusty like areas, and I'm thinking this may be it! Is there a way to clean and put it back in? or is that just not going to work and I need to get a new system amp to go forward? I know kruisinkid had some sodering to do to fix his, I was wondering if cleaning would work? How do I get in there, as far as suggested little tools? And if I can clean, what can I use to not further damage? I'm thinking (probably incorrectly) baking soda and water, like on battery terminals? Please help, this part is expensive, and, really hard to find.

I made sure my sunroof drains were clear. Also, I definitely found a leak in the windshield. I suspect the leak contributed to the oxidation. Planning on using this post to fix the leak:
HOW TO: Fix your leaky windshield

I want to give you all big hugs, but more comfortable giving high fives.
Thanks everyone, Willis

Some have had luck cleaning it up with a tooth brush and a light hand scrubbing off the corrosion. Did you slide the panel out of that plastic case?

I did, here are some more pics:

I have a guy at work that is going to help me with potential soldering points.

Also, can I clean it with a toothbrush and baking soda in vinegar? That was what I was thinking about doing, but didn't want to further harm anything.

Looks similar to mine. A burnt up trace or two. You need a can of electronics spray cleaner. Do not use baking soda water or vinegar. A small brass brush and/or fiberglass etching pen will help a ton. Mcmaster has all of this. Tell your friend to solder a solid wire jumper on top of the board to reconnect the points where the trace is burnt up.

Ok so I had a failure of my AC Amplifier (Part 88650-60211) in a LX 450 (97)
Found (with help RADD cruisers) an AC Amplifier from a HDJ81 (part 88650-60091)
Seeing as the HDJ81 's have the automatic features I thought I might try it.
Pulling the circuit boards out they share the same numbers (DENSO 177332-0482) on the board. Also I could not see any differences in the circuitry. Same pins Same Same Same.
Plugged it in. and VOILA! everything works again.
So for those with an AC Amp problem you can use one from a HDJ81 RHD.

@beno would this HDJ81 AC Amp work as direct replacement for 88650-60212 since the board is the same? however, i know you said the harness is the key factor as well.
