96fj rear hatch electrical harness (7 Viewers)

My 96fj80 was hit years back. Was never able to repair the electrical so all my hatch options function. Bundle coming off of the body was cut off. The replacement is a 91-92 hatch, I think, as there’s no rear 3rd brake light.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Drop the rear headliner edge and unplug that cutoff pigtail from the vehicle harness. Looks like the hatch side got cut. I'd bet you can just plug in the hatch harness you have and make it work. I *think* the plugs are the same.

I just did my 1995 and this is the harness I removed from my old hatch. It looks the same, but the 3pin connector has 3 wires in it, with the green/white that provides signal to the high mount 3rd brake light. You may need to re-position your pins in that plug to match color, but I'd guess it could be made to work.
