Howdy, daily visitor first time lister. I would like to know what if any difference there are in the 91 tlc vs. the 92 tlc. And would the 92 factory manual suffice for my 91' cruiser. I tried the search method and came up empty. 3FE power!!!

Virtually identical vehicles. About the only difference is the 10th digit in the VIN.

Don't think any 92s came with the chrome steel wheels that some early 91s had. I believe they all got the SR5 wheels. I think the tan/brown and the silver/red tutone color combos were only available on 91s. I'm not sure I've even seen a tutone 92. If I did it was a silver/grey. I just laugh when I see people saying 3FE Power! I guess they must all be former VW bus owners.

My 92 had SR5 wheels, and two-tone beige/brown paint. It was a good looking color combo. Like C-Dan says, there's virtually no difference.

there is one key difference.
the 91 has no intermittent adjust for the windsheild wipers.
the 92 does.
thats about it though, I have had both but my 92 has leather (likely dealer added) and my 91 had carpet.

I'd hang on to that rare 91 with "carpet". :D

Hey! I'm willing to let my 91 go. Since it is rare carpet edition, let's say $21,000!
:) If you contact me before the weekend is over we are having a half price sale ;)

Power is in the eye of the beholder. I find the power in a 3FE to be offroad and when I pass other 1FZ rigs with blown head gaskets.

But see you are missing out on the 93/94 1FZ which I believe doesn't suffer from the headgasket issue. Mine has 193k on it and I had one with 250k on it in my driveway last night and it didn't have a headgasket issue either.

I think my 91 is probably a bit slower due to the tires. Probably loses some more to our elevation. And then probably some it is relative to what we have for terrain. I don't suppose you have a lot of 10% grades near you? And I've heard that the Eastern part of the country that you drive a lot slower. 75mph is our posted speed limit. And with our distances between towns people drive that if not a lot more. North of me, it is 80 miles to the next gas station and you gain about 4,000 feet and lose about 3,000 feet getting there. And those are just foothills.
