87 FJ60 Will not shift into 2nd gear (1 Viewer)

87 FJ60 Will not shift into 2nd gear 70% of the time from 1st gear
Will never down shift into 2nd gear from 3rd.

Any Tips

Have you checked the shift seat? Remove shift boot, remove shift lever, look where the "ball" of the shifter would rest when installed. Should be a nice bushing/ seat there.

Is it only 2nd gear that you can't shift to (can you shift from 1st to 3rd)? Does the clutch pedal still have good pressure?

Yes only 2nd gear. I can shift from 1st to 3rd no problem.

Clutch has good pressure.

No it's my daily driver.

Agree... Most of the time second gear is hard to shift into or downshift into because of worn out synchros. One main reason is because people hard shift into second to get to speed faster or abuse in general and wear it out.

This is when I just order H55F and call it a day..
