This is kinda killing me since I have only had the truck a few months and I love it but I recently was given a snowmobile and I really need a truck again to get it up into the mountains. If the fj was a better tow rig I would keep it...
So I am mainly looking for a v6 tacoma, T100, Tundra, Or a manual 2500 dodge cummins.
I got the truck from KTMsteve, he did the swap and the roof line rebuild.
Here is the info from his ad and some more I have added.
1987 fj60 has a 2h turbo diesel with 60,000 on a rebuild and a ton of extra gaskets and seals, h55f, 456 gears with a lock right in the rear, OME lift, shackle reverse in the front and HFS shackles in the rear and 33 inch A/Ts with about 90% tread. diesel swap and h55f was done in January and put in a new clutch and release bearing. the locker and gears was done in april along with a knuckle rebuild. The rust is a little better then average for utah. The roof/gutter line was redone this summer so no more rot up there! But the head liner was cut out. Really not that bad riding in it. It has custom Front and rear bumpers.
I had a little alternator issue a few months ago that was a result of some bad wiring to the regulator. I rewired it and replaced the regulator, have had no issues since. Runs great! I have been averaging 18mpg, which includes mainly climbing canyon high ways. Its not the fastest rig around but it will go anywhere!
If you have any trades please feel free to get a hold of me. I might be willing to sell it outright but then I would be out of a vehicle and its a bit cold for the motorcycle now haha, so trade is preferred.
