Hopped in the truck yesterday evening and notice my tach won’t go over ~1100 rpm. It goes up to 1k when turned on, budges up to 11-1200 rpm when I rev it, but no further. So it’s not totally unresponsive.

Any troubleshooting advice is greatly appreciated!

Does it get better after it gets warmed up? Sounds like a common problem.

Take out the instrument cluster. Remove the tach and look for burnt or broken resistors. R/R bad part.

Hey I have this issue and it gets better when Warm Sometimes... Do you have a fix?!
This is the issue I've had, and heard from others. The tach is slow to respond when cold, but works when things warm up.

Mine works when its been sitting in the sun. If It is cold out it doesn't work. But if its warm then its intermittent and if I give the Dash a firm smack or hit a bump it might come back or stop working LOL

If you know how to fix it I am all ears. I honestly haven't looked into it much.

While you have the tach removed from the cluster ... check all the solder joints on the componants.

No commons that I know of. Visual inspections are usually enough. Look for cracked solder around leads, broken or burnt resistors. If you can't see any, rework the solder connections. Not to much heat as that could cause even more issues.
