Me checking out an 1983 FJ40 in West Africa

guy wants to sell for $5k what do you think?

Owner removed the original carb and installed a single barrel carb from an old Corona..swears he is getting 20 mpg. unfortunately it barely has any acceleration (power) but it does cruise nicely through the jungle.

I work overseas in the mining exploration field and I found this jewl while I was out and about. I don't think I will import it...but maybe If I can sneak it back in one of our containers full of sawn timber.
