Hi all!
I'm a noobie to ih8mud, but have been researching and reading here for years, including in the past with my 93 FZJ80... Finally got my first 40: 1982 CA Spec, with smog and factory AC. Needs a lot of love, but am jumping in and getting started.

First question: PO had partially disassembled and reassembled for sale... I can't find the connection to the brake pedal switch... switch is there, connector is dangling (with 2 green wires going to the connector) but can't find the mate. Should I look for it towards the fuse block? or towards the brake light in dash? or towards the eBrake handle? I'm assuming fuse block, but man, it's tight under there! :) I have wiring diagrams:

Thoughts?
Thanks!

So on my 72, I just flip 2 buckles and take out the drivers seat. Then I take an old sleeping bag fold it up and place it on the floor with some extra pillows. That way I can lay on my back and look up using a head lamp. Maybe the wire is in the loom but the connector was rip off by like a big foot trying to streach out a cramp.

(Speaking of big foot....) I'm 6'4" and >250 lbs so I appreciate the suggestion. :) -- Just 4 bolts for me... and, I need to clean out all the barn-find dirt from under there anyway.

Figured it out... took out the dash cluster, found the mate up behind the dash cluster. This didn't fix my problem, however. Now I need to repair/replace the wiring as one of the POs spliced in dodgy trailer harness wiring, booger welded in a square receiver AND mounted what looks like an amplifier up under the bed.

Get yourself the correct toyota wiring diagram - it shows a lot more information than this one, and is almost completely correct ( unlike this one).
Also - if you don't have a multimeter then it's a good time to get one :)
