Went with Hush Mat based on a buddy's suggestion and inventory.

Would like to replace the OE speakers with the closest equivalent to, since not doing a "system", but not finding anything similar enough.

Granted there's no carpet or any interior panels installed, but not "hushed" enough, considering expense and effort. Felt the same remorse after doing the roof of the FJC.

Hopefully, once the interior is installed, I'll think differently.

What did it cost ya'?

Each box was $250 "cost" (found on Amazon for $205 shipped, some at $180) and it took 3 boxes. Had 4 sheets left, and the tailgate to go (cutting later this week).

I wish I had the energy to pull the sunroof completely and line between the housing and roof, but I don't.

Doors feel more solid than a 1971 Ford LTD I owned, if that's a bonus, though.

Looking good sir.

Looks good, from everything I've read and researched, really quieting a vehicle takes a multi tiered approach and is SUPER pricey. I'm considering the lizard skin for my mothers LX450 but I'm not sure she really needs it considering the rig will live out its life in Moab on trails and city streets.

I would line it like you said, the tan will look good on the white.

It's well worth the time, money and effort. I also used a sound check underlay under the carpet aswell as the direct stick pictured. Doing the gearbox/trans well. Made the biggest difference, as does the firewall.

Thanks. Hoping to be done for SCC. You interested in going?

I looked at all the options and was about to order a tiered system from Second Skin, but stopped in at a local buddy's shop (buddy in the fact he's an FJC guy) and he convinced this would be all I'd really benefit from, considering I'm not an auto audiophile, and running aggressive tires.

Hopefully not a mistake, but I'm betting that the carpets, which aren't installed, and the door panels will only continue to dampen.

Going with the tan following the upper body line, probably rehabilitate the white paint, as opposed to spraying, for now.

Thanks, Dan.

Double up in the tunnel where possible, and went as high under the dash, as possible.

The foil backing is touted as being a thermal reflector, so hopefully will cut down on heat. Not sure how that counteracts the butyl's mass, but they claim it does. It was 86 degrees here when I left the house at 4:30am, so will see in the next few days.

Occasionally, I work with a product called "Double Bubble". It's a foil backed bubble heat shield, and considering applying the the underside of roof, and below the carpets up front. It's 1/4" thick, and my concern is normal traffic will burst the bubbles, but may try a sample spot while waiting on the headliner, before putting interior back in.

It's very cheap, and readily available, so if it works, may be viable for other installs.

Whats SCC and when is it?

Stabilizer arrived.

No doubt larger than OEM.

Having a hard time finding drag links and tie rods, in stock. Need?

Are you upgrading the drag link and tie rod or sticking with stock?

I would bet Cruiser Outfitters will have the ends.

As far as upgrading, MAF makes them and Luke from 4x4labs could probably take care of you with the proper measurements.

I would upgrade considering the weight of the rig and the tire size.

Are you going to keep the stabilizer in the stock location or move it to the tie rod?

Yes on drag link and tie rod. Tried Bud's, since I've appreciated his skids on the FJC, to no avail, and Slee's out of stock.

MAF is next. The idea of the clamps versus jam nuts I understand, but was fine with the tried and true.

Probably keep the stabilizer where it is, but only because it's size may prohibit moving. It's monstrous in comparison to OE. Have to see. Hope abandoning hydro and high steer isn't regretted.

Panhards arrived.

Waiting on a couple other packages that were send FedEx Ground, signature required. It'll be Monday before I can pick up at a location now, since my notes were ignored.

Too hot to do anything, anyway.

6:30 PM, though there's some weird phenomena where water is actually pouring from the sky occurring now. I think they call it rain.

Also have the 105 upgraded box and pitman arm, but still undecided on PS pump and cooler.

Any suggestions?

I wouldn't know what to tell you on the pump, I have had nothing but good luck with the Saginaw in my FJ40 on 37's but it is a different beast from this one.

I have noticed that it seems the 80 pump does not enjoy large tires too much.

As far as a cooler, I would use this as it will cool fine without hydro assist and won't cavitate as easily, plus it is easy to route.

12" Fluid Cooler, Heat Sink Type, 2-Pass, Aluminum - Cooling Components - Offroad - Motorsport Specific Products

This is a more conventional cooler and the exact one I run on my FJ40 that has not failed. Either way, build a separate bracket to mount these and never mount through the radiator with those cheap zip ties.

Good suggestions on coolers. I won't be zip tying anything, since that'd be entirely too easy.

Went back through scotia's thread on increasing flow and, pretty much, going to either rebuild or replace the OE pump, for good measure. It whined and stuttered before the 345s, so it's overdue, anyway.

Not sure about resi.

Going to get the MAF drag link and tie rods coming, as well the ends. With a cooler, 105 box, PS pump replaced, new ends, drag link and such, there's little else I can see to do to the OE set up.
