@bignasty you have that intake manifold and you are in Richmond VA? What is your plan for it? Are you building up a 1FZ? Or did you just mean you have a "Vulture motorsports" manifold for another engine?

I have that manifold and yes it needs some work. It would need to be cut and smoothed inside for better flow.

Hmmm so with Hypertune likely not making a 1FZ manifold. I am kind of looking for other options. Not a lot out there. I did find a cheap one that definitely looks cheap, but I wonder if I could have it reworked a little and then coated?

When you get to the "coated" part, as in powder coated, shoot me a pm. I'll fix it up real good. Brown Santa can make it happen. I'm all about helping on this build, I'm learning how to do this myself someday!

I bought this off of ebay years ago. I to was looking for an intake manifold too and receive a $3000 dollar quote. My plans have changed, I want to go diesel now unless a ride in your land cruiser changes that. I am willing to part from it for the sake of progress. Send pm.

Well s*** it sounds like we need to go for a drive! I am done with this semester July 28th and have 3 weeks off so just let me know.

I want a ride in the new truck when you finish it.

This is absolutely epic! I mean...even the exhaust manifold is going to be a work of art...I can't wait to see the end result. Keep up the good work :)

Zero internal engine mods.

I did a head rebuild using OEM components. New OEM head gasket. OEM head studs. Stock bottom end, original bearings with 160,000 miles on them and my turbo setup. I have been pushing 15psi for over 25,000 miles now.

These are going to be used with the tinted, UV and scratch resistant polycarb I plan on replacing the sliders and defrost rear window with.

Very, very nice!

Yeah I am really pleased. The quality is off the charts. The only thing might change would be a gloss bronze instead of the matte, but I think with this wheel they are trying to make it look tough since the fitment is for trucks. I still think it will look very good, I will need to find a color close to it to spray the rear axle and the front flange since there are no center caps. I am also going to leave just the Lexus L in the rear and the grill and will try and color match them.

Will VIR let you take it on the track? Not sure if it's the track-day company or the track that makes rules about what vehicles they allow but you should do a track day. Other drivers will FLIP. VIR is the closest to you right?
