Hi everyone,

I wanted to post up and see if wagon gear is still in business. I am looking to buy one of Kevin's tailgate lids but I can't seem to contact him and they are never in stock. Anyone know where I can find one of these?

Dan

They pop up on his website as he makes them, it's not his day job so you will be waiting a while. Also he doesn't take orders, you have to keep an eye on the website.

I've seen the ad and the door he's selling doesn't have a frame, and it doesn't look as finished as Wagon Gear's and the price is about the same

Check out @reevesci , he's a mud member/vendor. His business is Trail Tailor , he is developing a nice set up.

I hope to have pricing and a production lead time this week for the 60, 80 and 100 series lids. I'm only making them in the dual door style. Mine will be completely framed and welded with sealed latches (locking and non, per client request)

Kevin is hard to beat - Wagongear trunks are the bomb diggity.

Get on his email list, and keep a few hundo in reserve if you want his - he sells out as fast as a Scotty Cameron release (for any here that admit to golfing).

I have a Scotty putter / hc collection, and I don't hide it - as :slap: as it is.

OT - just noticed the purple limpwrist / ghey icon is gone. Did we go PC around here?

I will be ordering one from @reevesci. He made my sliders and roof rack. I will also be getting my bumpers from him. His attention to detail and customer service is second to none.

Any pictures?

Here is a pic of what the 100 series will look like and the wooden prototypes that are at the laser cutter now.

So he must be the Keyser Soze of Cruiser parts? The most powerful of all, but no one has ever seen his stuff?

@socallove makes a good lid that is pretty inexpensive--I am very happy with mine...

Have one in each of my 80s. I have seen them, he's a real person, and his stuff is the joint. Worth the wait and the expense, but that's my opinion based on real world use for years. His products are very refined.

Funny I found this one on ebay.

Bought mine from the guy that makes them here on MUD before he started posting on ebay:

1997 Toyota Land Cruiser 80 Series Lexus LX 450 Tailgate Storage Lid

Working out perfectly for me. Great customer service as well. Will post an install thread sometime in the future...

That's @socallove, just pm him if you like what you see. Good thing about raw aluminum finish is you can customize it like paint or cover it with the finish you want.

That's cool man, I have seen the stuff on his site, it does look awesome. I wouldn't mind that flip out window, it's looks like you said "very refined".
