ARCHIVE 80 series tailgate storage revised

I revised the tailgate storage using some new hardware.
3/16" aluminum with chamferred edges
stainless steel hardware
stainless steel Soutcho rotating lockable cam latches, I took my time to follow the shape on the latch when cutting the holes. The instruction shows to cut a circle but I thought if loosen up some how, the latch will rotate, cutting it with the shape of the latch will not allow it to rotate.


I decided to make this version all bolt on with low profile socket cap heads, the reason for this is because not everyone have tools to counter sink or a welder to weld the hinge on. This is made to simplify the installation for the end user.
I used a bigger hinge this time for two reasons, big enough to be bolted down into the tailgate and added strength.

Although from the pictures the amount of storage space gained in the tailgate might not be enough.....

Enough for what? you fit what you can in there and move on with your life. I can fit all my recovery gears in there, 6 D rings, 2 snatch straps, hi-lift off road kit, jumper cables, gas can wrench, 3 flash lights, super siphon, hi-lift mate. I can also fit my entire kitchen and wardrobe in there, so I think it's plenty of room
