Have any of you guys installed a non abs 80 series booster with the check valve in the booster and a non abs 80 series master into your trucks?

I was wondering about the proportioning valve. On the 60 its bolted to the Booster. I was wondering if i could just keep this setup instead of going to a wilwood adjustable?

If it matters this setup will be going on late 80 series axles with discs front and rear. Will there be any issue keeping the stock 60 valve? Id rather not make all new brake hardlines

I used my old one with the same booster and MC you’re installing. It’s been great on the factory 60 axles. If you’re running discs in the rear I would get the 80 series set up.

I’m not sure about the math and physics off the top of my head, but the stopping power of the drums has to be different from the discs which should change the balance of the brake system.

You’d hate to do all that work and the crash because you don’t have enough stopping power on one end of the truck.
