I have an eighty registered and slated for Florida duty. No way it's NOT getting a HG job prior to putting it in full time service.

I have a spare head going to the machine shop and plan on doing this some weekend in the near future.

Anyone who wants to be involved and see the process is welcome to come by. I'll post back as my schedule is made for this.

I am definitely game. I know it is on my horizon at some point, most likely this summer when I can ride my bike whiel the truck is down. but keep my posted on when and I will see if I can escape my island.

Depending on the weekend, I am game too. Give me a heads up. Interested in the supercharger's final result.

Can't wait to see your future rig on the trails this year

so I ended up going in a different direction. I've had an engine on a stand with a bad knock for about 3 years now.

I ended up taking it apart and having the head done, crank turned, block honed and connecting rod resized as the #1 spun a bearing.

All the parts are on order except the rod bearing as I need to confirm the size first.

So it will be a weekend of assembling the engine and then a weekend of swapping it in the truck.

Again anyone is welcome to stop by either weekend and I'll try and give a good warning to when that will happen.

Who does your machine work?

Is he really retired? LOL

yes, he does it now to keep busy and extra money.Back in the day he built most race engines for the area tracks and last weekend while chatting he mentioned how a corvair set of heads came in with his job number on it. It was in the 3000 range and to date he has done more than 6000 engines.

He worked on Jason's 2F

Hard to find a good machinist. And one you can trust.
