80 Series ARB fitted to an 60 Series?? Can you Do this?

Can you easily mod a 80 Series ARB bumper to fit a 60 Series?? Have a good deal on a 80 Series ARB.

Does anybody have a pic of this mod?

The frames are different widths, so it seems pretty unlikely.

With enough time and money, you could do anything, but I would not bother.

Besides the frame width, they are TOTALLY different in the front. Put them side-by-side, you'll see what I mean. You'd have to butcher it to get it to fit.

if the bumper is as wide as the body I dont know what would be difficult about the mod... cut the mounts off the said bumper and reweld new ones on it that fit the front of the 60?

Ditto! If it's a good deal pick it up, re-welding/fabbing the mounting bracket wouldn't be a big job. Got a buddy with a welder? Take hime a sixer and fire it up, or a shop might be 50-100 bucks. Then again throw an ad on craigslist, I'd do it for free but I'm on the west coast.

Next time you're driving pull up in front of one and see. Should not be a noticeable difference if any at all. Buy that bumper already.

unless I'm mistaken, don't the 80 ARB's have little side sliders that travel back to the front edge of the front wheel well? Wouldn't the distance from the front of the fender to the front of the wheel well be different? and if that is the case, wouldn't that also need some modding?

I doubt it would work. Way to much different. You'd spend a whole bunch of money to make it fit. I have both. They fit a lot different. And yes the 80 series one have wings back to the wheels. So it might even interfere with your fenders.

But yah, anything can be altered to fit.

Just cut the wings off the bar, I wouldnt butcher the valance, I like em.

The 60 series chassis is wider though, as people have said, new mounts will have to be fabbed.

I wouldnt do it, I would find a 60 series one, or make a bumper from scratch, it wouldnt be much more work and a least it would look good
