Does your system run inside the frame rails all the way back? Or does it pop over the rail and then back inside like the OEM system? Also, can you do custom exit routes, i.e. if I wanted it to dump in front of the rear tire, or out the back, but in the center? Thank you.

Any idea when we can expect to see some dyno numbers on these headers? My factory exhaust manifolds are unlikely to ever wear out, so the motivation to buy these is based entirely on proven performance gains. I'm sure the numbers will be impressive; I just want to see them first before laying down that kind of money! Thanks!

As scottryana mentioned we're doing a set of EMSPowered headers and the EMSPowered exhaust system on his truck soon. We'll do before/after dyno for you guys on that with scottryana's permission so that there is some data to show the actual difference.

It is built for maximum ground clearance. The tailpipe options are 1) stock location, 2) side exit behind right/rear mudflap, 3) turndown.

I bought a 2nd 80, so my charger is still sitting in a box - but your headers are interesting to see real numbers on HP gain, so if you post the gains I could decide if I want to pay the asking price -

It's just like the header game in BMW's - some motors make great gains, some Euro motors ship with essentially unbeatable "manifolds" - so I think the better way to answer the question is to see the real gain, then decide what I would pay for it, you know?

We have sold many sets of these headers over the last couple years. But nobody local to us has purchased them. Everyone that has installed them feels power gains, throttle response, easier towing, easier uphill climbs, etc... As soon as we get a local who purchases a set we'll put it on the dyno to show the results.


Here's another set that we're finishing up today for an Alaska client, should be shipping out on Monday. The primaries are finished per the photo, putting the final welds on the y-pipe and exhaust today to complete the system.

They sure are pretty! .... but I am still waiting for some power numbers. What is you guestimate as to gain when connected to your 2.5 inch exhaust - is it as much as 5%?

Do they have that cool "header sound"?

I'm having a hard time accepting a $1500 price tag for minimal gain when a little over double that will get you a supercharger..... $1000 for an unpolished version would be OK. They would be buried under the heat shields anyway.

I also would like to see before and after dyno numbers for the header when combined with the TRD 'charger...... I expect it would flow very nicely.

We are looking at doing a large production run of our 1FZFE 80-series headers. I need to get a little input from the community so that we can see how many we need to make and that will somewhat determine the cost as well.

Details:
* 304 Stainless steel
* 100% Mandrel bent
* 1 5/8" runners
* "Tri-Y" design for ideal exhaust flow
* Designed to keep EGR functional so you can stay smog legal
* Two designs will be used to work with both 93/94 and 95-97
* 3 piece design for easy installation. Header will be split up into 2 sections (cylinder 1-3 and cylinder 4-6) and there will be a y-pipe
* Optional with 0, 1, or 2 catalytic converters to stay smog legal
* Designed to be a bolt-on installation directly to your EMSPowered exhaust (or can be welded to other exhausts)
* Dyno tested to show real-world power gains
* Will allow for factory heatshields to be bolted on

The question for you guys:

I am not saying we can get the price that low, we probably can't since these will not be a huge volume item. But I am wanting to know what the communities opinion is to see whether it's worthwhile for us to do a production run of these headers.

Up until this point we have built 80-series 1FZFE headers on a build-to-spec basis. Meaning that we have built each set of headers custom to suite each owners needs. It's an expensive way to build them, but for such a low volume item that it has been, it is the only way to do it instead of having $50k in inventory sitting on the shelf not selling.

Your input will be a big determining factor whether this happens or not, so please feel free to simply type A, B, C, D, or E, or elaborate if you'd like on your opinion.

Your headers are beautiful, but its too much money for me, I would take 750 or so as an entry point. I know they cost a lot to make, but 1200-1500 is a lot to drop on headers on a low performance engine.

I understand that, and I sympathize .... but OTH your header web page claims "great horsepower and torque gains throughout the entire power band". I think it is a little hypocritical to make claims like that with no hard numbers to back it up.

I have done engine mods to a naturally aspirated engine that gained 5% in power - by the dyno - and the result was definitely noticeable and appreciated, but not what I would call great.

Unfortunately I'm simply not willing to risk $1500 based on your claims, only to find out that the gain is not so great after all, but only "noticeable'. I really do like your products ... but I think you need to perhaps arrange for some customers to do before and after dyno runs, on your dime, so you can give us some real numbers that we can use to judge your products.

I need to know how much extra power I would realize at 2500 rpm, and at say 4000 rpm. If the gain is only 5 ft lbs at 2500, but 20 ft lbs at 4000, then it's simply not worth it for me, and I will save up for the supercharger.....

I think you would sell more exhausts and headers, if you could post some dyno charts. It just seems like a sensible business decision, one you should aggressively pursue.

Do the rest of you Mudders agree, or am I out of line here?
