You're not allowed to bring them if you can't spell chile correctly. I'm sure this confuses most of you. Chili with an 'i' is meat and beans or just spicy meat. Chile with an 'e' refers to the chile pepper commonly grown and eaten in NM.

Also proudly grown and eaten here in Colorado too.

One more reason to move to Colorado! I will put it on my list to persuade the wife!

I will make sure to bring something made with green chile from Hatch, NM. I have a few bags of fire roasted chiles still in the freezer from last year's harvest.
If you are willing to spare/pass some of those bags I'd be glad to take some home!

You guys have your own green agricultural product to publicize. NM gets to claim green chile. Seriously though, I don't have any problem with Colorado growing and eating their own chile. They just can't claim green chile as their thing. Denver mayor pissed off a lot of people a few years back offering to send green chile to Seattle if the Broncos lost against them. Super Bowl bet stirs up chile controversy

If you're ok with it thawing out before you get home, I can bring some. HIH7 is close enough to harvest season that I could restock fairly soon afterward.

Just burned 30 minutes of my workday reading about Hatch chiles. I'm so easily distracted by all things related to summer vacation, I'm afraid I'll be worthless by mid-July.

I'm glad I could help with your work distraction.

:flipoff2: give this WV boy a break. We're still learning the NM ways but she makes a mean CHILE enchilada.

I want to remind everyone, and if some of you didn't see my previous message. I am creating a "break-down kit" Its consists of old parts that are still functional These parts could help someone off the trail, and possibly home. Breaking down up there on the trails can happen (but probably wont because we drive awesome 100's!!!), But if some old parts could save someones vacation, then why not? If we were in Jeeps then we would possibly need a support vehicle following us, fully stocked with MOPAR written on the side.:p I currently have the parts listed below, if anyone has some old junk that would be useful for the cause, then bring it and donate it.

The kit so far
1. Front drive axles
2. New fuel pump
3. Front diff carrier (probably silly, but I have it)
4. Water pump, timing belt and all that junk
5. Most importantly: Gorilla Tape!!!

I will have a spare serpentine belt and ignition coil.

I will bring along two used (but slightly worn) drive flanges and a used but functioning MAF sensor. Always have a new Denso coil and OBDii adapter on board as well.

Not a bad idea @Ramathorn15. I'll see what I can do.

I am beyond distracted by the constant flow of awesome comments in here. At this rate the 470 will be going to the mechanics the last few weeks rather than me doing it over time!

OK! Spare parts! O it so suck that we need to think about it.
I'll bring some used ignition coils, fuel pump and something else just don't know what? Nuts & bolts.

Just bring whatever you have that might help a broken down vehicle. Sounds like a good list you have there. This might be a bit silly but it couldn't hurt to bring spare parts. Glad some of you are helping pitch-in. Thanks!
