Forgive the discription(and spelling)

At the base of the carb nearest the head of the engine, not on any linkage but the body of the carb itself there is a screw(Flathead) it looks to be an ajustment of some sort...Is that the mixture ajustment?

Also on either side of that screw there apears to be 2 vacunm fittings are they supposed to be attached to anything or capped off?

Thanks for taking the time to read my poor discription and helping me in advance...

It's been a while but if I remember correctly, yes, that recessed screw on the head side of the carb is the idle mixture adjustment.

On my now sold FJ60 there were 4 vac line/fittings there. They control various smog systems etc. If your rig is desmogged, they should be capped. Otherwise, try to make sense of this. The relevant info is the upper right. Mind you this is for a later 2F than 1978.

Yes, it's mixture.

On a stock fed spec 77, the fittings would be EGR and EGR Cut Port. Not sure if it changed in 78 or not.

cool thanks for the help
