SOLD

For sale or trade, 1978 Celica GT 5 spd. 20R engine, all original- including smog equipment. Great condition. Engine runs like a sewing machine. I bought to use as a commuter, but :princess: doesn't want to sell her POS van (why on God's green earth I'll never know). Factory A/C does not work, other than that it is in perfect mechanical shape. New tires all around. Brakes are good. Just replaced rear diff and transmission oil. No leaks of any kind. Odometer reads 41k miles, but I'm not going to vouch for that. Parts of the car look like 41k but given the age of the car, my guess is it has seen a gentle 141k miles. The PO says that he bought from original owner, but no paperwork on that. It has been resprayed the factory yellow (maybe a shade darker, but it's hard to tell). No rust underneath that I have been able to find. Clean title in hand. $3,200 or trade for whatever you got, preferably toyota or landcruiser related.

Damn that is a nice one! I'm doubting the odometer rolled over....? Are you sure about that? The drivers seat is too perfect for an extra 100,000 of use. The dash looks like it never saw sun. the shifter ball looks new.....

Thanks - its a difficult call without any paperwork. 40k miles over 34 years is awfully low. The dash is cracked but other than that the interior is almost perfect - that's the most important thing on these since interior parts are unobtanium. Mechanically it's near perfect, but then again these engines will go forever. I will leave it to the buyer to decide on mileage - I don't want to advertise something I don't know for sure. Cheers
