77 Roll cage bolt size

Had a recent request for some bolt sizes.

77 FJ40
Roll cage to inner fender
Roll cage bolts that hold it together

Since I don't have access to one, I'm asking here.

Anyone?

It is larger than 8mm diamter...

I need to get a later year Cruiser to measure bolts on.

Someone want to donate, oh, say a 1978 FJ40 to my cause?


Needs to be complete of course, running would be nice...

A 3/8" bolt will fit inside the hole. Use washers on the underside and you are good to go!

Each side has 8 bolts total. 6 are 10x1.25, but the other two are designed to hold down the seat belts and are different.

Those use the SAE bolts. I cant remember off the top of my head what size, but I think it was 3/8 fine thread. Also if you want to stick to metric, it uses the elusive 11 x 1.25 iirc.

That's got to be a PO "mod".

Mine are all the same. I'm guessing 10x1.25x40 for all 8. I can check when I get home tonight.

7/16-20 is the size that fits it....
