Truck is a 77 hilux with the 20R.
Longshot but does anyone have or know where I can get some diagrams for this? One on the hood is worn down
Just rebuilt the stock carb
Trying to go from a weber back to stock for smog. It has all of the smog components just need some help on the main vacuum lines.

You might need to get creative. There are companies out there reprinting the hood decals. I found these at etsy.

Some general questions maybe someone can answer.

Vacuum advance distributor and there's a check valve on the vacuum line. I assume the check valve direction is where the engine can pull vacuum on it, it was setup the other way currently.
Same with the vacuum line on the EGR, there's a check valve and it needs to be oriented to let the engine pull vacuum?

Couple of pics of open ports that might be known where they go.
First large open port on the base of the carb.
Second the large open line coming off the end fitting on the intake manifold

@ToyotaMatt thanks that helps a ton, basically what I needed. I have the Haynes coming too so i'll take a closer look.

The image on page 107 of the carb base vacuum ports is correct, but I have three ports there. There's 2 on the right of the idle mix adjustment screw and one on the left.

Is there a page showing the float clearances? I also noticed the bowl was filling up all the way past the site glass on the carb.

i can post more images ?

i ALSO have a factory FSM too

i can post anything u like or think will help

i DFO HAVE all the 1977 EWD's wires diagrams too fsm oem toyota

on a side topic Mr. driller ?

would be able to give me a concrete positive ID on this NIKKI made in japan mechanical fuel pump by chance ?

i have concluded its a HILUX , not sure what years application ?

- i have concluded the same exact pump used but both the inlet barb nipple fittings and the threaded compresasion nuts outlet fittings changed a bit during the era this base unit was used application ?

- it was mixed in with about 80 or so land cruiser pumps i scooped up about 2 years ago and sealed in climate control until just now

here are some helpful images maybe ?

NOT SURE if GREEN box lable is correct to the pump fyi ?

thanks

matt

oh my point Mr. Driller .

i forgot to add

if this pump fits your 77 HILUX and u can use it ?

i would like to KARMA it to your build .................... :D

simply that , no cost involved

kindly matt

:)

@ToyotaMatt that's very gracious but this has an in-tank electric fuel pump. Think either this year or the one before is when that started. That float level makes sense, I was looking at some other Aisin carbs that used ~6mm and that's why it was too high in the sight window. I'll adjust it per your video.

Maybe i'm not good at reading the diagrams, do you have anything that shows where this open port is supposed to go to? The big one coming out the end with the braided looking line.
You can also see the (3) vacuum ports I mentioned earlier on the base of the carb vs. the (2) ports shown in the manual
