Is this the truck for sale?

That's it. According to the PO, that truck had 161.5K miles on the clock on 6/7/2012. He said that he had documentation confirming the mileage.

I did not get any paperwork, or verification from the owner on any of that. In fact he did not give me any paperwork.
Thanks for sharing what you know, it will help anyone willing to purchase the truck.

Good luck with the flip. I have always said that the only smart way to make money on a 40 sale is to paint it, tune it up and sell it. Those who do legit restorations as a profittable venture are not taking into account their work. I have around 1500 man hours in my truck (yes i have counted).

0 Does no one else watch wheeler dealer?

I am curious to see what this truck goes for to get a value of my truck (Not that I will ever sell it).

I dont really have any input about the mileage issue. My title says "exempt" under the odometer reading even though it probably has a true 98k miles. But there is no way of telling whether it was turned over between 77 and 97 when we purchased it. I would say most likely.

Is this why you didnt even give me a price, or the option for a local sale? Was this because you were not searching for more profit on ebay?

how much do you want for the rear step?

From the people pinging me this am, I may just put it on eBay, with the Reserve set at what I was going to let it go for on MUD. It won't be cheap, the step was in great shape, and after sandblasting and powder coating, actually does look better than new.

It's because the step is sitting on the floor in my 40, Francis, as I haven't decided whether or not I'm going to sell it, or put it on. I stated what I did about eBay because selling stuff here on MUD can be a case of listening to a bunch of whiners that think you should give stuff away. And believe me, if I do sell it on eBay, at what I will set the reserve, I won't be making mad profit. Buying the step from another MUD member, two trips to the Liberty Hill powder coater, and the charge to sandblast and powder coat, added up pretty fast. And one more thing, there is a bit of difference between having a part refinished properly, and slapping a quick spray on a 40 in order to flip it, and the he** with who is going to buy it. If you need that explained further, there's not a lot of hope for ya.

So when you going to actually get that 40 of yours out? ;)

Ok... That was not the context you provided. You also offered it for sale to a gentleman who was inquiring to purchase.

I offered to buy and asked for a price. You ignored my request and said you were selling it on eBay to make more than what you would make on Mud ( apparently you have a phobia of lowballers). This is pretty cut and dry. If you don't see the direct correlation, then you are more dense I

If i had a damn step, I could drive my truck home.

You win, Junior.
