It looks good in your 40, your whole build is very nice. Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the front mat. Have been trying to wait on racer65 repro mat but yours looks awsome.

@georgia fj40

Thanks! I am still going cut a set of floor mats to match my rear mat. I've been waiting on the racer65 offering as well. I have a Toyota OE mat but it is in fragile shape. So I retired it this year...

I just think the CCOT mat is pricey..

I should have played the Lottery today.

I went rummaging around in some of the "cold storage" boxes today looking for bits of kit that I had put away. Stuffed in a bag with a few other "missing items" I found these. Tool bag retaining hardware. :)

I'll clean these up in the AM and shoot some primer and paint to them.

Looks like my conduit clip solution now "belongs to the ages". :smokin:

It gets better!!

Yup:hillbilly: these and a turbo kit will definitely get you to the Bonneville salt flats for sure!

Running down all my gaskets/stainless hardware for the ambulance doors. Couldn't round up any help last week-end to help load the hard-top on my trailer. Its been sitting on my motorcycle lift for the better part of a year now. If I can finagle my trailer away from "River-lot-Dave" this week-end I'll haul the top and doors up to Kingwood for the install.

@78fj40mg

Mike - I took a stroll down your build thread last night. Wow! :beer:

Thanks Jeff! It's been a lot of fun and hard work and now my 40 rides like a dream, unfortunately I'm not done yet still have a lot coming down the pike. The cold weather, rain and high humidity is holding me back, but spring should be here shortly in about 4 months! :crybaby:

^^Ignition switch harness disintegrated after being exposed. Chuckle - Not sure what was holding it together. New harness? I am doubting this can be repaired...

Picked up some stainless washers and chased the ambulance door hinge mounts REF: MONSTALINER application to the tub earlier this spring. Took just a couple minutes to clean up the threads. I only brought one hinge back last weekend. Again, lots of small items to clean up.

Mocked-up the console. The console on the original mounting plate sat "way to low". I'll need to fab up something IOT keep the desired height. Maybe run the original mounting kit off of the seat brackets?
It's on the punch-list! :bang:

Again with lots of time and little to do, I added some stainless washers to the seat hardware/mounts. Random shots of some of the applications...I did not re-do my seat sliders this year. I cleaned them up a bit but not a concerted effort. I'll hit them with a tooth brush and some solvent later.
It's on the punch list. :bang:

Last aimless rambling this PM. Earlier this year I purchased a OD Green Smittybilt seat cover. I modified it to fit the seat back (seat back only) by removing seat(ed) portion. I really like the concept (after modification). The Molle attachments are a great storage alternative for the cramped quarters of the TLC. I have been working on similar design for the Jump Seats utilizing the take-off portion of the cover.. The pics only show the top cover with Molle attachments on the sides and front of the seat. I/we are going to add an adjustable panel for underneath the jump seat complete with Molle attachments. So, when you raise the jump seat you will have additional Molle attachment space for additional kit . When the seats are lowered you can configure accordingly by removing kit or rearranging kit as required. I think I'll post this up in a separate thread as well.

Marking time again until I transport the Hard top and doors and/or start the spring swap. So, I am still hitting some of the little things. Installed the damper way back when, but it needed tweaking. Removed and adjusted the damper this afternoon. Yet to field test...

Weapon of choice was the Ingersoll. Made short work of the project. Last pic just before everything torqued down. I'll make sure I do a write up of the product...

Had to pull the "old " ignition harness out a piece at a time (1st pic). Original question and response regarding the original post for this can be found Need steering column/electrical help (76 TLC)

The "old" machine screws (from the original lower half
of the cover) will work on the new lower half to secure it to the steering column. Awaiting proper screws to attach the new upper half.

In short, Pre May 1976 has different attaching hardware. The last pic shows the aluminum ferules that were press molded into the upper half of the clam shell pre May 76. I "liberated" the ferules for reference. Post May 76 has something different. I'll post up a few pics as soon as they arrive.

Trying to sort out electrical gremlins. Are my turn signals backwards (IE wrong portion lit when the head lights are on)?...Seat belt light/buzzer is working.

Again, hitting the little things..Cleaned the interior today. The door panels are not OE. Bought them straight away first thing when I bought the mule..
