Switched out the bulbs in the instrument panel. I removed a set of LED's that were so-so bright. These are an upgrade but could be brighter.

Are those tail light protection plastic or steel?

Cheap plastic..I have one original "good one"..Keeping my eye out for a second. Figured I'd run the plastic until I can replace it with steel.

Cut and trimmed the insulated backer and rear mat today. Jury is out on the insulation. Should help as a thermal barrier and sound deaden-er. I'll use it and see how it does under "field conditions"..

Added the shifter knob and hardware to the shifter and T-Case boots.

Starting to add the hardtop gaskets in anticipation of re-installing the hardtop. Re-using the upper windshield channel gasket that was on the mule when I took the hard top off last year. Looked to be new when I started the disassembly.

That mat is just a snippet of what I picked up to use under the tank, as it lays there it is the 36 fender to fender width

Puttering around doing small jobs. Marking time until a friend of mine ventures to WV for the spring swap. Scheduling some "lift time" for mid JAN. In the mean time I am closing in on the little things that seem top take up so much time.

Added new radiator cap. The champion radiator came with a cap, but it did not seem to be a substantial piece of hardware. Toyota cap finished off the Radiator nicely..

Used some of the sound deaden-er as "tool bag padding" . Seems to keep everything in order in my non-standard tool bag.

Adding gaskets for the hardtop. Not very sexy work but essential. Again, re-used the gaskets from the disassembly. Used a dab of left over gasket maker to tack it in place.

Chased all of the hardtop mounting threads. One problem child, I may have to drill and tap IOT claim victory..

chungas have you installed your ccot front moulded mat yet? How did it fit? Is it worth what CCOT wants for them?

Jury is still out..

It cleans up easy. My 1st attempt at molding the mat was with the tranny hump out and a 85 degree sun pitching in for moral support. Kept it's shape during storage. I put the finishing touches on it with a heat gun a month or so later. Had to trim all the access holes EG Drain tube, Shifter, T-case Passenger seat. I rate that endeavor as a PITA. Once trimmed and down, I think it looks pretty good. I would still run a floor mat of some type.

1. IMHO it is over priced. Price = D-
2. Relatively easy to mold, but at that price I don't think I should have to mold it. Ease of molding = B+
3. Trimming was required. Trimming = C
4. Cleans up easy. Cleaning = B+
5. Durability. Have not field tested the unit yet.
