From the search it looks like the majority of folks use 75w90 M1 in the TC. I’m running Lucas HD gear oil 80w90 (Dino) in both my axles and have extra around. Is there any advantages or disadvantages by using 80w90 Lucas HD gear oil (Dino) in the TC? I know it’s not expensive to just buy 75w90 M1 but it’s more of a simplicity factor for me and honestly I just curious the opinions on both options.

Thanks!

Thank you. So no need for synthetic? Just plain Jane good quality Dino good to go?

Works for me. Synthetic in the transmission (and HD-T), cheap-ass wal mart 80-90 in the 5 gallon bucket everywhere else. Change it regularly.
