More progress today. Welded in the right side floor pan. I went with the measure once, weld a lot method.
We had a guy we said his motto was "Measure once, cut twice, force to fit, paint to match."![]()
I was thinking that today that we can probably figure it out and make two of them. I may swing by tomorrow to see how close my mounts are compared to yours.Heck yeah, we will probably need to fab the same (or nearly the same) rear subtask crossmembers. I know I will also need a bracket between the frame rails to hold the e-brake cable housing as well.
Progress!
I just eyeballed it. I know I slide the 1” ruler between it at one point when I was fiddling with things. I’ll try to remember to measure tomorrow.Looking for a reference for my truck. What did you end up with for spacing between the cab and the bed? I figured about an inch. Yours looks about where I want mine.
Almost 2cm which I bet is a bit smaller gap than factory if I was betting. Rain boots could still probably slide in the top for storage.Looking for a reference for my truck.
