G'day everyone,

Just thought I'd introduce myself on here and post a little about my build. I have built a 75/80 troopy using a 1992 FZJ75 and a 1994 FZJ80. I have owned the troopy for a few years now and thought this modification would be a great remedy to my only gripe with the troopy platform being the suspension and offroad characteristics. I'll go into more detail about the build in the comments section but for now here are some photos for those interested.

Ive only seen a few FZ-70's before, and slightly recognise your rig! Tassie boyyyyy?
Looks like the top of margate hills area?
Any engineering input on this conversion? Sounds epic!

I totally agree with you. I've got both an 80 and a 75 and the 80 is by far the most capable off-road vehicle that I own. I'd love to do this swap as well, albeit figure out how to narrow the 80 axles just a bit. I don't like how far the tires stick out, but I understand that is also one reason the 80 feels more stable is it's width.

How long did the swap take? Manual trans or auto? Which engine did you use or did it matter as they both were FZJs?
