Well i was told its probably a better idea to start a build thread here goes .My son and i framed off my origanl 82 40 with a deisel it took 5 months to do we had lots of time as we were both caught up in a labour dispute. We took him on a hunting trip and i told Mike i was going to build another one.We found a rusted out relic in a farmers field we were eyeing up for years and finally told the farmer we were just going to take it. We were told to go ahead. Our plans were to keep the body stock however do a lift ad a 6.2 and nv 4500 5speed after priceing 5 speed we opted for sm 465 which was totally rebuilt. After getting the LC home we proceeded to take her apart to find the usuall gremlins and then some.I started takeing pics right away . i,ve just about figured out how to uplaod pics thanks to Eric e and will start soon

As you could see there was all kinds of suprises whilst striping him down,as well as a very large colony of mud wasps .Got the grandkids to rid them.Time for the build. After I blasted every thing got down to replaceing all rusted metal on front cowl and frame

now time for the tub

With the cowel semi complete it was time to put it on the frame and manufacture the tub. I decided to do the tube with 3/16 sheet metal ,only because the junk yard had a 4x8 sheet of submarine steel, and i was going to put a 6.2 in it
