Trying to pull this wing vent apart to get the lock to lock and put in new gaskets.

How do I get the lock apart. It looks like there is a hole on both sides for a pin to be pushed out to get the lock off - is that correct?

Where is the best place to find a new gasket to go under the frame?

Remove the roll pin. I have seen people use bike tire inner tube to make the glass to frame seal

Mine only locks on the driver side. I’m not worried about the other side. If someone is breaking in, I doubt that little bit of security will stop them. Besides, how will a thief know it doesn’t lock?

great running in to this thread. any tricks for getting the roll pin out? I tried but was afraid of doing damage. My passenger lock works but seems to stick out further on the stem than the drivers side and allows for a nice whistle going down the road. My fix is to slide in a nylon washer to keep it tight. Could it be my roll pin is slightly bent preventing it from being removed and also keeping the window tight?

Check this out…..

The pin is solid, not a roll pin. You need a punch that will fit into the hole to drive the pin out.

As I recall, I wrapped the handle in a rag and fastened it in a vise, keeping the "punching" reaction on the handle, and not the glass.

Replacement pins seem to still be available, $4.02 list at the dealer.

The rubber washers, 90202-12041 have been discontinued.
