Bumping this because it deserves a revival. Plus I really need to know the suspension and tire setup in this pic. I’ve searched and finally this is exactly what I am looking for. Help me Turtle!

You are the man. I have a rustic green 73’ and your build is my dream. Keep up and tell us what else you’ve done since you posted. I need more.Hi FJ Corey. I installed a OME 2 inch lift springs/medium with bilstein shocks and 33/10.50/15 BFG Mud terrain's. I added the triangle shackles and urethane bushings.
The saga continues.. Spent most of summer adding new carburetor, new distributor, diagnosing engine noise. Picked up a FJ60 1982 H42 transmission/transfer case, rebuilt the transferase with the help of George's expertise and rebuild kits at Valley Hybrids. Checked compression, replaced all the rod bearings and unstuck one exhaust valve, adjusted valves, checked oil pressure, timing, and noticed a #6 piston ring was frozen at some point. I reassembled and ran it for a few hours..ended up seizing the engine. I now have the engine out and am seriously considering a ls chevy engine swap with Toyota 4 speed transmission/transfer case. I was surprised to find out how hard it is to find parts for the 2f and the few machine shops I've talked to, don't want to rebuild it.You are the man. Yes..it is a little disappointing. I agree, I'm happy to have my Turtle, and can have fun driving it with the original engine and a v8. I might keep the 2f and if parts and machining become more economical, get it rebuilt and save it for a rainy day. That's disappointing to hear. I love the original F motors, but the joy is all in just driving these things any way you can. I appreciate the follow-up. Post more pics when its convenient!
