Planning has started in the shadows of mud. @Gun Runner 5 has liaised with some trail guides and a date is set.

Although there may be the occasional post, the major update for this event will be posted sometime in the early Summer. As mentioned before, the early notice was to aid folks who wanted to make arrangements at work as well as book camp sights, cabins and hotel rooms.

The event just keeps growing and unlike the early years where 70 Series Land Cruisers were in the minority, last year they made up the majority present. Early interest indicates this trend will continue.

A few things that also need to be posted early:
There is NO entry fee to attend this event.
We DO NOT inspect your vehicle. (It is your responsibility to make sure your vehicle is up to the task)
We DO NOT do RAFFLES (well you might win a free beer coaster stolen from the local Outback restaurant).

Things to do between now and September......
Get your spouses permission to attend (better yet, bring your spouse and kids)
Get your bosses permission unless you're the boss in which case just leave a note on the door.

Thursday and Sunday are designated travel days. Generally early/late attendees get together for rides.

As Nic mentioned in the above post, to accommodate those that have long travel times, Thursday and Sunday are designated as travel days. Trail riding is available on both Friday and Saturday although we may visit some of the local historical sights on Saturday. A group went to Nemo Tunnel on Saturday afternoon last year and many have expressed an interest in doing so again this year. Although there is normally an informal agenda for both days all attendees are free to pursue whatever they enjoy. We try to time all events so we can gather as a group for the evening meals.

No sure yet. Need to talk with the guy doing it, I believe he will give us some discount. Friend of mine, local business in Knoxville.
