I didn't bring a tent or sleeping bags. My cabin for Friday and Saturday night is still available for me.

Why is he booting you out and not the other group? Does he know you're with HIH? I will call over there, but I'd like the full story before I snap on that dude. For what we paid to have that place, our group should be getting the red carpet treatment.

I have brand new sleeping mattresses from Thermarest and 2 brand new sleeping bags from Thermarest that you are welcome to use. I also have a Thermarest Vela quilt and a large double person sleeping bag. I can bring all, some, or none of that. I'm leaving very soon, so I'll need to know ASAP. I can bring a tent too.

For hotels, Silverton may be booked because of us. Montrose will have the cheapest rooms, but is a little over an hour away. Not a huge deal, but not ideal either.

Try these in Ouray

Depending on which way you are coming in Durango might not be too bad either. It is about an hour south of Silverton and an awesome place to check out if you haven't done so before. Hotels near the main drag can be high but if you look on the north end of town they are pretty reasonable. If you do end up staying in Durango and are looking for some good food and beer you have got to try Steamworks.

Silverton Lakes called me to let me know they had double booked my cabin I was supposed to get on Thursday night. I will now have a 4 year old and my girlfriend with me with no place to stay Thursday night. Any ideas of where I may be able to get a hotel room that's reasonably close?

I have a cabin (Double Bed + Bunk Beds) for just me and my 6-year old boy. You and your 4-year old are welcome to stay with us - my boy will be more than happy to have another kiddo in the cabin. I just called and my reservation is good and there're 2 bunk beds (with beddings) so we should fit in there no problem.

Your queen if she's fine can stay with us as well - I do need someone to babysit my boy when I go have a shower and such. I'll pack proper PJs with me if you guys decide to stay with us. But very occasionally I may snore

Let me know what's your plan before 11pm tonight. I'll leave tomorrow morning.

Is there normally just one central campfire, or do people set up others as well? I have a washing machine tub fire pit that I am considering bringing, but I'm not sure what the etiquette is for this. Thank you.

I'm at my favorite brewery -ODELL - right now and this place looks amazing! Building is awesome! Music and ambiance are great and then there's the beer! Oh the beer!

We've been on the road for over a week already and looking forward to the lower temps high up in Silverton!
Had no phone signal at all throughout most of Idaho coming from Craters of the Moon State Park and the whole time in Yellowstone. For the record it really sucks to find coffee in Idaho!
We camped for 3 nights at Canyon Campground on the north side then another 2 at Grant Village campground right by Yellowstone Lake finishing with our last night at the Old Faithful Lodge. We left this morning passing through the Tetons then a huge Forrest fire to the west of it! Roads were open but the crews were there fighting it!
We are heading down to Fort Collins right now and should be there in about a couple hours.
We've rolled in! Just got to our home for tonight in Fort Collins! We are at 2070k miles so far!

I'm not leaving until Thursday morning. I feel like I'll be the last one there...
