I would like to help donate some more funds for the extra expenses for the new site. Anyone else want to help chip in??? Im happy to help support this.

Thats a great location. Silverton is on my list of the great little old western towns.

I just booked the LAST cabin they had available at the RV campground. It saved me a LOT of money from not having to rent an RV in Denver and pull it to the event and back.

I'm willing to donate some toward the extra cost too @paflytyer @bluecruiser

Thanks Kelly, that's super nice of you. We are all good. We are relying on tee shirt money to cover the extra costs. (everyone gets 1 shirts with registration, but buying another is always helpful) This was never a money making operation, just a great step for us as an event. Covering our costs has always been enough.

This area will allow us to add a few more from the waitlist as well. That will help cover the extra costs too. If you receive an email from Chris with a registration code, please sign up within 24 hours or we will continue down the list. There are many lodging options in Silverton. Please let folks know that you are with 100s in the Hills if you make reservations anywhere. Also, when you arrive for the event, please let the store owners know that you are with our event and thank them for their hospitality. Spending a few dollars in town will solidify us as a great asset to the town of Silverton. Please remember that this event does not belong to any of us, but all of us collectively. Everywhere you go in town, people will see your 100 and know that you're part of our event. Collectively, we represent HIH and want to be known as the best thing that happens to Silverton each summer.

The Chamber of Commerce is featuring us in their newsletter and DeAnne Gallegos, the Executive Director for the Silverton Chamber, has personally called most of the businesses in town to let them know we are coming. There will be some specials reserved just for HIH attendees. Small towns like Silverton rely on summer tourism dollars to stay in business. The money we bring to town is a huge boost to their economy. Let's show them that we are the finest event to hit the streets of Silverton. Please be respectful to the residents, watch your speed in town, spend a few dollars at the local shops, and represent our event with pride and enthusiasm. I will have a long list of options for food, beer (there's a brewery in town now!), groceries, local wares and so on. I'll have it posted in the next day or two. OutdoorX4 Magazine is also stepping up with some nice stuff for all of our attendees as well. You can expect a press release from them to go out shortly announcing our partnership with the Town of Silverton. This is a big deal for us as an event, it's a huge deal for the town and it's great for our attendees. There is no other event like HIH, and it just got even better. There is more to come. Like I mentioned earlier, Silverton is rolling out the red carpet and DeAnne is personally working with us to offer folks some of the best attractions in the area.

Alright. I'll start calling the hotels. There will be a group traveling together if you're interested.
Southern 100s to HIH2016

We're pretty excited to explore Silverton! We gotta hit Shady Lady Saloon and the Silverton Montanya Tasting Room for Handcrafted American rums!
Will be getting extra shirts but we are willing to chip in some extra cash as well!

Guys does HIH have exclusive use of this campsite this year? Just curious...

Great upgrade, excited to have the space!

I'm going to shop some hotels there, maybe move my reservation from Ouray.

Do have a more serious question (not related to availability of a car wash)....will we be ok with offroad trailers in the primitive camp or will the owners want us on the RV side? Some of the developed camp grounds I've visited prefer only ground tents in primitive camp areas, so thought I'd ask before dragging the trailer from South Tx. Thanks!

Just got the LAST queen room at Canyon View Motel!

Trailers are fine for our area. We rented the entire south side of the road all the way to the river. Camp trailers, tents, RTT's..... if you're bringing a motorhome or huge pop-up, you may want to be on the RV side with hookups. Otherwise, standard offroad trailers are fine for our area.

I can work on this. Not all MUD folks, but I could post the MUD names of those that are on MUD.
We have actually decided not to post up the participants. I will say MOST are on MUD. We would rather people use their own discretion on posting about their status on attending. In this day of privacy, ...blah blah blah. We just decided to hold off posting up that info. Hope that makes sense...thx guys...

SILVERTON!!!!!!!!!!!! WHoo hoo!
