I guess they're called defrost tubes.
Spector has them for $72.

I know this. That's why I'm checking here. SOR is pricey!
They were available from the dealer a few years ago. I own a new pair. Dealing with somebody like Cruiserdan, Beno, or Sam Stewart will get you a better price, and probably way less than SOR.
Shop vac hose works perfectly!

I was thinking that would work. There's a vacuum repair shop near my job, I'll see if they have any of those laying around.

2 1/2" hose doesn't fit. Glad I kept the receipt. It's exactly the same size as the outlet on the heater, therefore it doesn't go over the outlet. Back to the drawing board.
Bummer... I wonder if my '69 is different? I just stretched and twisted the spring steel over the outlet, and clamped.

I think it's the hose that's different. The one I got from Home Depot is a Rigid brand and not a Shopvac brand. The hose is flexible but it's made of a stiff plastic. I might just get it off your link from eBay.
