67 FJ40 Wheels for 4 wheel disc brake conversion.

I recently installed a complete 4 wheel disc brake conversion on my new project (67 FJ40). The wheels that were on it I was told were an old set of chevy wheels. They do not fit with the new brakes as they hit on the calipers on all four corners. i am in need of a set of aftermarket steel wheels that will fit with these brakes. This Fj was parked in the back of a guys garage for 21 years and never moved. I need the wheels and tires to finish the lowere half of the resto.

Wheel Size 15 x 8 or 16 x 8
Backspacing 3.25, 3.5 or 3.75
6 on 5.5

Did you end up figuring this out? I'll be doing the same thing on my '69 pretty soon and I'm wondering if you have any tips. Also, what disc brake conversion did you use? Monte Carlo?

Might want to pick up a master cylinder from an 85 Supra. It's valved for 4 wheel discs and a direct bolt in. I'm running one on my 71.

Stock steeliness from your local Toyota stealership. All wheels (NOS) are back spaced for discs.

If you want to continue using those drum brake wheels there is the option of fitting one inch bolt-on wheel spacers.
