I got my r2.8 running in my 1976 with crappy rusted tub. This is how I temporarily had the pedal mounted, which worked for me to drive it while working on another body to replace the badly rusted one.

However, I do not like how this mounting does not look clean. I was figuring to make a new braket to mount to the floor using the Toyota firewall bolts.

Funny story, at least now, my driver seat fell through the floor. So, my 40 has been parked while I complete better body, which had decided toyota cavalry blue then found your thread.

Anyway, your mounting position seems to move the bulky cummins pedal electronics up out of view compared to other mounting positions I've seen. I guess the answer is bending the pedal, or mount where I did but make a new braket.
