The pipe looks good... almost stock. Also the tailpipe.

Actually got this gauge to work with a bit of soldering on the back of the board.

Now to find a temp probe for the outside, ( it's missing, it's not quite that cold out..) apparently a 1k ohm ntc thermistor.

I've found them online, but I object to $10 shipping on a $1 part on general principles.

I tried an electronics shop in nanaimo, but it seems I was interrupting mine craft so they were unable to help.

The outside temp probe wire should be in one of the frame rails at the front of your cruiser. Thats where it was in mine anyhow.

Regarding the thermistor, think this one would work? NTCLE100E3102HB0 Vishay BC Components | Sensors, Transducers | DigiKey I could bring it in on our next order. We order stuff regularly from those guys. If you don't like that one, just find another that you like on that website and let me know. I could pass it to you via mudship or next time I'm up there.

Yeah the wires are there, kinda dangling..haha.

that does look right, i had a go at ordering myself last night but I kept getting blocked before the shipping link on digikey...so yeah if you could ad that to an order that'd be awesome!

It'll give me a reason to come to a meeting...

Now you get to spend $25. on fuel, $60 on pub food and drink for that $1. part!
The good company of our Cruiser pals: Priceless

You have some nice beefy bumpers. I think I came to your house once to buy a 40 series gas tank. I was with "greencruiser" Marcus. Keep up the good work!

Ryan, forgot all about that bumper in the excitement of being home. Can you tuck it away until April? We got spring talk then anyhow.

Yeah that was a loong time ago...might've been a tank ?

buggered if I remember

My keen attention to detail gets more apparent as you get closer to the bumpers, maybe someday I'll spend more than 30 seconds grinding welds...but I doubt it :hillbilly:

seems to work...I calibrated it by wetfingering the sky, and then stuffed the probe into the frame rail.

it's avoided becoming a sunglasses pocket...for now.

this is the thread where I found the info on probe and soldering issues, but I'm sure it's all pretty basic for you... HJ61 in/out temperature gauge repair
