I have an '06 TLC, and in my Toyota scheduled maintenance manual for the 60K maintenance it recommends replacing the AHC suspension fluid. I called the dealer today to schedule the maintenance, and they were saying it wasn't on there list of what's recommended.

Should I ask to get this done at this point, and are there any other things that you'd recommend doing at 60K?

Replace the fluid. If they've never done it, take it to a Lexus dealer. Lexus has had the system for 8 years, so their techs are more familiar. The system is expensive to repair, changing the fluid is cheap assurance.

I just got a quote today from my local lexus stealership for a 60k mile service. $1400.00!!!!!!! Does that sound right?

That is probably about right, but that doesn't mean it is isn't robbery.

My LX has 57k on it and it still has the OE tires that are a slightly dry and cracked. I'm guessing that the Tbelt looks the same. If I'm going to do the 60k service I might as well do the Tbelt and h2o pump while it's there. Anyone know the typical cost of Tbelt/h2o pump service is at a Lexus dealer?

Maybe print out the procedure from MUD and take it and fluid to a Toyota/Lexus Indy. And buy a MUD star with some of the savings.

My guess - ~$1200

Make your list and take it to all the Toyota dealers in town. The prices will be all over the place just take the cheapest one. From what I have seen on here Dealers are as cheap or cheaper then others.

AHC was new for the LC in '06

I would not consider replacing the TB or the WP at 60K - Waste of $$ IMO

But I would do the AHC fluid, coolant, transfer case, and Trans fluid.

New for US Spec LCs in 2006, overseas had it for years.
