I can't find that we ever did these on the 2002, but I swear we did. I think someone may have done the passenger side bank. The driver side - oh so bad. I was inspecting the plugs on both of our 100's for loose plugs. The drivers rear was hand loose on the 2002, they were all fine on the 2006. I replaced the plugs in the 2002.

In the the photo the plugs are oriented as they are if you were standing in front of the truck.

The passenger side coils look almost new, as does the first coil in the first position on the driver side, I'm supicious that someone changed all of those but didn't change the three on the driver side behind the first plug

I'll be ordering 6 for the 02 and 6 for the 06 (and plugs for the 06)

any improvement in the engine after new plugs ?
Not significant, I am eagerly awaiting what I hope will be a labor day sale to get 8 plugs for my 06 and about 12 coils... ughhh..

Your coils thank you for not having to produce additional voltage to generate spark across extremely worn plug gaps.
