60 transimissions and T-cases question???

Are BJ and FJ 60 transmissions/transfercases interchangable?????

Depends on the year, and the transmission. I know that pre-85 tranny will not bolt up to a post-85 truck.

I would bet that a H42 from a BJ60 will bolt up to a FJ60.

bj transmission have a long 21 spline input shaft, while FJ's have 10 spline.

NO, they do not interchange although most internals swap per the tranny manufacture date.
