Thanks .. thanks .. It was my dream years agoo ( never imagine how hard it come )

how does it feel at those speeds with the canvas? how much noise?

Not pretty much actually, and most important with open front windows i'm not getting much flutter ( I'm not sure if this is a right word to explain it ) coz the canvas it's pretty tight to the rollcage.

So it feel fine ( pretty much that I hope ) at those speed, keep in mind my top speed are usually 120km/h

Any pics with the top off?

We are in raini season here .. so I'm not in the beach trip without canvas .. maybe in summer :D

has it been back out in the mud yet?

Not yet .. I'm still finishing details as the rear warn SDB-210 light , adjusting my wategate to get the 14 PSI@2000 rpm .. and electrica issues inside ..

Maybe can get a trip in mid of this moth or in agust .. :D

How are you adjusting your wastegate? I'm curious.

I'm in agreement with everyone else here... great looking soft top! It's gonna be great wheeling with the back open like that. 60 series folks, like myself, usually don't get to enjoy that option! Congrats.

How are you adjusting your wastegate? I'm curious.

Theire are 2 general wastegate types .. one with adjust in the rod and other with no adjust in the rod.

Here you can apreciate the wastegate and the actuator conected to the rod .. the rod have the adjust nut.

To allow more boost soon it's a mix of some values ( with the right turbo size but it's another long thread that you can found in the diesel secction under VE, turbo maps and size ) first it's the adjust in the rod it make the actuator on the turbine more tight = less flow wasted. Second it's the fuel that increase the exhaust flow ..

Other option are the factory turbos that have a wastegate but it have a rod with no adjust .. it meand that this spring in the wastegate it capable to hold the actuator on the turbine side full closed until it have a postive pressure on the wategate diafragm ..

To contril this tipe of wastegate you must use a boost controler that it's nothing more than a boost bleeeder that " lie " to the wastegate to keep closed until you reach your desired boost ..

This option can be aplied to the first tipe of wastegate with adjust in the rod .. uf you can make the spring enought stiff to keep it closed.

Wow, I just read your other turbo thread and that will take a few readings to process. You must like math.

Naaaa I just like diesels and turbo engines .. but actually I hate the math ( not to mention my college time :flipoff2: )

Feel free to ask i fyou have some question in the turbo diesel engine theme .. ;)

Sick truck Tapage! You are a Cruiser god!

Bringing back a very sick thread.

So after a year how are things holding up? Is the canvas still tight? Has it faded much? I'm thinking of chopping my rusty roof, making a cage and making a soft top this summer.
