Hey all,
Does anyone happen to know if 60 series seats will bolt right into a 77 40 series seat frame? Or if not, is it a simple mod, or does it take a lot of work?

I’m not finding anything in search, so not sure if it hasn’t been done, or if I just have poor search terms going.

Thanks in advance if you can help with insights!

It's not even a close fit

Thanks, and sorry for the slow reply. I’m more wondering about the seats themselves, not with the brackets.

60 series seat bottom below. How does it compare to the 40? Do the bolt holes align with the exception of that front left? And could it be massaged into working with a nutzert?

And if not, does the corbeau adapters that cruiser corps sells bolt right up the the 77 frames, and also match the 60 series seats?

Long story short, my wife’s ‘77 has the cheapest, worst aftermarket seats I’ve ever seen bolted into them. I have a set of 60 series seats that I think would be great to put seat heaters & leather onto, then put into there. But I don’t have the truck right now to test it out.

We installed 60 seats in our 40. Here is the link to the post with pics. Post 93
The seats fit fine in terms of size. We used 60 seat rails and then modified the seat frame in the 40 to accept the 60 seat rails. Requires some welding.

Abe summed up why… he has a set already and the seats he has in there now are aftermarket and “suck”

Sometimes even a change to a free half decent seat is way better than ones that suck lol

Been some time Abe … hope all is well
