Nice!

Why is the roof raised like that compared to our 60's?

Any more info on the truck? The things spotless! I couldn't imaging turning it into a trail rig.

I bought it last weekend from my father-in-law for $900 :p. He was the second owner and used it to drive back & forth to the local bar for 5 years. The original owner bought it brand new out in Cali. He did a lot of desert driving with it, panning for gold.:steer:
I changed the oil, plugs, and battery and drove it 3.5 hours back to my house. The only problem was a flat spot on the RF tire, which smoothed out over 60mph. It got 14 mpg too.

The truck is basically how it was when it left the factory. Most everything still works, including the a/c, but I'm trying to figure out the pwr locks (tried resetting the CB, but no luck) and reverse lights. The body is in great shape...no rust anywhere and it still has the original paint. The only issue is the pass side of the truck. The paint on the front fender has come off and there is a stain below the fuel door from gas spilling out :hmm:.

For now, I'm just going through the truck and taking care of routine maintenance items and giving the truck a thorough cleaning. There is several years of Cali desert dirt inside and lots of dried up chew spit on the center console. :crybaby:

After that, I plan on new paint, tires, some sort of lockers and possibly a SOA lift.
When I say trail truck, I mean easy trails and some mud. No rock climbing for this rig!

Man I'm glad to hear that!!

That rig is in far to good of shape to demolish it on the rocks:(

$900.00...what a steal:beer:

BTW-you have a pm when you get a chance.

Welcome to the addiction!
