5. No mods yet....buncha Yakima cr@p though. I'm thinking there needs to be a 5spd in my future though, see below:
6. Just drive it (in the last couple months I have driven it from Boise to Kansas City and from KC to Aspen, CO and back again....in a MAJOR blizzard).....it sort of reminds of a big Labrador retriever....it is always up for anything that I am. Go hunting, go play in the mud/water, drive in the country, whatever. It just wants to be where I am. :)

1989 Fj62

OK, finally getting around to posting this, been lurking Ih8mud for a couple of months now:

1. It's a 1989 FJ62 that I've owned since 1998
2. My name is Tim
3. Don't really have a name for it, sometimes call it "The Crusher"
4. The truck currently has 232,000 original miles
5. OME Medium suspension w/ greasable anti-inversion shackles, BFG All Terrain 32x11.50 tires (soon to be 33x10.50), beat up ARB Bull bar, Kaymar rear bumper, Mean Green starter and alternator, Hella H-4 system w/non-DOT bulbs, yakima rack. Started tranny swap this morning, pics to follow soon (bought 1987 parts FJ60) automatic starting to suck, in fact it was slipping so much this morning, it would barely climb onto the ramps on my rack.
6. DD, work truck, and beach toy (boat puller).

Someone else with the "Is it a 60 or a 62?" dilemma! :grinpimp:

As you said Is a dilemma, but I think it's a 62 because here in Venezuela from 85-86 they started to come with the 3F engine and h55, and I have seen many 3f's with round lights that the serial says FJ62586248 for example. but I think It's a 62 anyway ;)

2. Leonard
3. none
4. 169,129
5. Stock I think except for a supposed rear locker, roof rack, and blown 3fe engine.
6. Something to tow a little utility trailer with and eventually when I sell my tacoma and modify the suspension and get lockers something to take the kids 4 wheeling in. Oh, yeah it will probably get a 350 swap unless I can find a real good real cheap 3fe.

7. click picture for details and more pictures

8. I just picked it up this morning for $1100 and flat towed it home 40 miles behind my tacoma no problem.

Hi

New member from Norway, just wanted to post my rig up on this great forum!

HJ 60 (1982 engine, frame and power train, 1987 body)
24volt system (could here)
5 speed
roof rack
OME 2" suspension lift
Fitted with Nissan Patrol turbo
PTO winch
Danita CB
Garmin 60CS and laptop with N-route comming
Lots left to do

In Norway we were fortunate with the 60 series, Toyota imported HJ's only (bouth 60 and 61) As far as I know, there is only one FJ in Norway. (on the other hand, only light duty 70-series ever made it here)
