Heres how to switch your defroster switch to the defroster switch from an 80 series or similar. You can use the conector from your 60 switch so its pretty much plug and play. I spliced in an extra wire on pins 3, 2, 1, and 4 on the 80 series side of the below image so i can daisy chain my switch backlighting together. This is kinda optional. I need to go out and test this one in the truck but on the desk with the 12v battery it all works

I personally got glum on the Plain Jane “ OEM Nuclear Fallout Green

Me too , in fact

- so some GREEN active ON bars are a test subject of sorts , but I personally really dig the below :

Just to be klear , the original OEM green will also be still a choice
of course 🙂

.

You will see a FJ62 / FJ80 Tall and skinny size spec. Heavy duty oem blue all LED Rocker switch too

These will be available in tandem here very soon ….fyi

As promised, heres the rear wiper switch. keep in mind you need to reverse the polarity of your motor on the rear wiper fluid bag and pin 2 is unused. The 4runner rear wiper squirter is set up a little different than the 60 series. Did you know on the 60 series switch you can push in the off side of the switch and it will spray the fluid? I had no idea.

****** I didnt write this clearly on the note above. Near the bottom of the post it note where it says connect blue wire directly to ground, connect a wire going from ground into the connector where the blue wires are. DO NOT CONNECT THE ACTUAL EXISTING BLUE WIRES TO GROUND. Those are 12v+ wires that are going to your wiper fuse and it will pop your fuse if you connect them to ground. Youll see them, its a small blue and a thick blue wire. Just pull them out of the connector and heat shrink them up and dont use them. Then run a NEW wire from ground to where that hot wire would have gone

Aaaand heres all 4. Rear heater, Rear Defrost, Front fog light (for light bar or whatever), and rear wiper/washer. I got these switches online for $25 each. If you follow these you can just use your existing fj60 wiring and plugs and merge them into the wiring on the new switches. They all test and work. My defrost switch doesnt light up when pressed because ive got a broken connection on the back window, but when i jump it on the window glass and complete the circuit it lights up orange like normal

The new bezel should be here shortly and i can get it painted and everything installed. These new switches should match up pretty nicely to the switches i have on the right side of the bezel now, and i can finally get rid of the weird ass fj60 non backlit switches.

I can't wait to get my 62 back from the heart surgeon. There are so many unbelievable 60's in this thread. It's like Viagra.
