Back when we had a little snow in the Adirondacks
Circa 1994, with 4 kids (9 year, 5, 3 and 8 months old) traveling from SF Bay Area to AK. McKinley in the background. 30 days, 9K miles. This car still drives and just got a 15BFT upgrade last week. Has 500K miles. Baby is 30 years old and all kids learned to drive on this rig.
Just went to Tahoe and back today as a test run today. 500 miles. In a snow storm!!! Rig was fantastic. Average 60mph all in 5th gear including the climb to the Sierras getting around 25 mpg. EGT never exceeded 850F. It passed the test. I should have had more faith. Had all my tools in the back, coolant, oil etc. Never had to even touch them.
