Reviving the thread to see if anyone has tried the Terrain Tamer parabolics yet. I gotta get some new leafs in my 60 this year and I was about to pull the trigger on a Dobinsons kit until I heard about the parabolics.

I'm extremely interested as well. The Aussie's seem to love parabolics, but they haven't seemed to get much traction stateside. I saw the Terrain Tamer kit for the 60 but I haven't been able to find a dealer/distributor in the US, I'm scared to find out how much shipping for 4 leaf springs from Australia is.Reviving the thread to see if anyone has tried the Terrain Tamer parabolics yet. Does Dobinson's make Parabolic springs for the 60 series? I can't find them on their website. There are actually a couple Dobinsons's retailers close to me.I've looked into sourcing, it'll cost about $2,000 for the TT parabolic kit and about $1,000 to ship it here from Australia. So far I've only found one person that's installed them on a 60 via instagram. He likes them but hasn't put them to the test off road. I'd love to put them on my 60 but without good recommendations I can't bring myself to do it. I'm thinking of going Dobinsons since there are plenty of folks happy with that set up.
I spoke with the guys at Valley Hybrids. I'm not sure how they are classified but they offer Terrain Tamer parts and can source the springs but don't stock them. If there are multiple folks interested in ordering maybe they'll give us a breakAre any of the MUD vendors Terrain Tamer distributers? Can they get the 60-series parabolic kit?
No, not parabolics that I’m aware of but I’ve heard a number of positive reviews about their ims shocks and springs. I get the impression that it’s the shocks more so than the springsDoes Dobinson's make Parabolic springs for the 60 series? I can't find them on their website. I bet you could reach out to TT and they could advise you as to what kit to install based on how you are outfitted.Yeah I've found the same price about $3K to get to Canada. I've read a few threads of guys ordering from Oz and receiving their orders quite quick but a lift kit might take a bit longer. I'm just about convinced the ride would be superior than a traditional set of springs, what I'm trying to decipher is the load rating. They're rated 500kg but I'm assuming that's per spring and you take away the sprung weight of the vehicle and whatevers left over would be load carrying capacity? That seems to make more sense to me than 500kg of additional load carrying - for a 3 leaf pack.
My 60 is more of a camper/tourer and load carrying is more important to me than anything, although if it flexes better I won't complain. Any extra offroad capability gained is an added bonus. If I'm not overthinking this, which I probably am, curb weight of a 60 is 4200lbs... take away unsprung weight, I guesstimate axles around 250 each? So 3700lbs of sprung weight, 500kg springs would be 4400lbs so you get 700lbs of additional carrying capacity.... Seems to make sense to me but could be way off.
Also, Dobinson's makes a parabolic but only in Oz for the 78 and 79 series.
I did send them an email awhile back and never got a response. Should just try to call them. Truck's empty right now but I figure with a drawer set up I'll have 3-400lbs constant. I think either kit would suit my goal but I can't help but think the parabolics would be better..I bet you could reach out to TT and they could advise you as to what kit to install based on how you are outfitted.
Are these for the beige metallic 60? We need performance info!
Just as a matter of interest, i have had the TT kit on my 61 for about six months.
It is very good, no problems off road.
